Fungal Fever

Accompanying the theory course ‘Fungal Fever: Reading, Writing, and Design Thinking through the Medium of the Mushroom’ at HAW Hamburg, this booklet was created to capture interesting aspects of the seminar. It contains a glossary and a reflection paper on key topics covered in the seminar.

no more fortress europe

The poster series, animated in After Effects, calls for a rethink towards a more human rights-compliant and fairer policy at Europe's external borders. Along horizontal lines, movable, modular elements form flexible text and image spaces, subtly reminiscent of fence structures.

Dokumentation Obersalzberg

The Dokumentation Obersalzberg is a place of learning and remembrance about the Nazi era at Obersalzberg in Berchtesgaden. It connects local history with the overall history of National Socialism. A new identity design was developed for the opening of the new building and the new permanent exhibition.

Visual Identity

The location-specific isolines serve as a visual metaphor for the location, mission and work of the documentary, thus becoming a key visual. Content is revealed from the isolines.
The key visual was attached to the entrance door so that visitors could step into the isolines and thus into the history of the Obersalzberg.

Doing Beauty

Make-up offers the opportunity to redesign one's appearance day after day. Each layer of pigment is the result of a decision to conceal or emphasise, to blend in or stand out. In the work ‘Doing Beauty,’ cotton pads that I used to remove my daily make-up become a tangible manifestation of my performative self. The result is a work that reflects my own beauty practices through make-up and places them in a social context.

Blender 3D Experimente

Modelling organic objects into “artificial” 3D objects invites us to reflect on the boundaries between nature and technology, between reality and simulation.

Digital Gardens

A theoretical and creative exploration

The master's thesis examines the concept of the digital garden and its potential as a space in which ideas and creative processes can be tested, discarded, iteratively edited or rethought. Theoretically, it highlights the role of metaphors in the context of the internet, in particular the garden metaphor, and examines the transferability of gardening principles to digital practices.

The focus is on the parallels between gardening and manual coding, both of which can be understood as iterative, reflective and creative activities. The central part of the project was a self-coded website, which serves both to test the concept in practice and to document the learning process involved in coding.
